This is a truly mind-boggling performance. I thought of the late Sri. John Higgins Bhagavatar who used to sing chaste Carnatic music just like this. To sing Sri Thyagaraja's kriti in Telugu with correct pronunciation is not easy even for vocalists born in India; for a Chinese man to sing this kriti so effortlessly is astonishing. He even sang intricate kalpanaswarams! He is very fortunate to have learnt this from a great guru, the late Smt D K Pattammal, who was both a Sangeethakalaanidhi and Padmavibhusan.
